.
Stobarts have a new Magnum in their fleet.
I knew a fair few office staff and a few of the drivers at Brady’s because we used to use them for bunkering when I drove for MAT. There paint work on the trucks was allways spot on and the fleet looked smart.

When I worked for Brady’s in the 60’s they had their own Paintshop and did all the painting and lettering “in house” If I re-call I think the painter was called Wilf ? but I could be wrong.Bewick.

Hi,
I have a 1:50 scale Corgi model of B17 ADY…it was the first model I bought many years ago, and I chose it cos it had a no frill workmanlike look to it, with a eye catching livery. Now a very sought after model on the collecting scene I understand.

Hello hilltop4
Yes, The Brady DAF Corgi model is. I managed to get hold of one last year for £30 at a ■■■■■■■■ Model Fair, but if you look on Ebay, you won’t find one for under £70.

Wow!!!, I didnt realise this.
I paid even less for miine…£17 from a toy fair here in Doncaster…toy fairs are obviously the place to go if you are looking for a small investment then. Thanks.

Hello hilltop4
No bother. I wish I’d got mine in Doncaster! Corgi also did a model of one of Brady’s Albions along with a metal model of Shap’s Leyland Clock. Unfortuanatly I haven’t got this model, but last year I did find one at a Model Fair, but was priced up at £150!! The trouble is that is isn’t even worth that as it is only worth between £40 - £60!!
Kindest Regards

Hello ■■■■■■■■■■■■■
Thankyou for that. I was thinking of the Tenko Scania, but I didn’t know about the Tekno DAF.
As for the Alibion, the one I found for £150 was at Carlisle Toy Fair last year. Very overpriced and it isn’t worth it.

Hi ■■■■■■■■ Gill ,
The Corgi model of T. Brady & Sons Ltd. is based on the Leyland Octopus 8 wheeler , NOT Albion.
For Gods sake , ( as well as yours !! ) , don
t let our Dennis know you refered to Possys wagon & trailer as an Albion. You
ll be sent to evening classes , never mind detention , Marra !!
To correct your lack of knowledge on life south of Fletchertown , the Corgi model of Shap Fell Clock was NOT with Bradys Leyland , - the correct model clock was based on the Lostock Hall Leyland Clock. Aye , ah suppose the next question
ll be : - " Where`s Lostock Hall ? " , eh ?
£150.00 is a lot of money for the Corgi model , - Dennis could muster up finding thee a brain fer less .
Happy to oblige with the information for you , C.G.
Cheers , cattle wagon man.

When I worked for Stobart’s I was given a brand new ‘L reg’ FL10 while Bewick’s got brand new ‘L reg’ Renault Magnum’s.
I would rather have had the Magnum back In '94…

Hello cattle wagon man
Thankyou, Thankyou for that infomation. I don’t what evening classes with Dennis.
I thought it was Shap clock with the Leyland, with it been a Leyland clock in the set. The series of models which the Leyland Brady was in did have a lorry with a model of the Shap clock (can’t remember which one).
Thankyou again cattel wagon man, you’re a real marra!
Kindest Regards
