And now I’ve made my point I’ll tell you what my licence was suspended for. It’s because I was found unconscious (and subsequently spent nearly 4 weeks in an induced coma). It’s because they couldn’t determine if a blackout caused the crash & it was thought I might have brain damage (I’ve always had that tho) and as many have mentioned they’re much more serious after the Glasgow bin lorry incident. But wasn’t a blackout. Probably has something to do with fact I broke passenger side window with my head! (No, for some reason I wasn’t wearing seatbelt. I always do normally. If I had I wouldn’t have even had to go to hospital let alone be flown there in a helicopter) Not problem at all with fact it was suspended, correct thing to do, but fact only now, 6 months after I applied for it to be reinstated have they asked my doctor for information is utterly infuriating.
Looks like it was going sideways.Short wheelbase, front wheel drive, undriven free wheeling small rear wheels, all create a tendency to catastrophic lift off oversteer.

Well, condolences there, DVLA are a nightmare to deal with at the moment, it took me six months to renew my HGV licence last year because of a very minor issue with blood pressure and which was only resolved when my GP (who is superb) involved a cardiologist and both put enormous pressure on them to renew my licence. I actually got £250 compensation out of DVLA for their failings.
Fortunately most of this went on at the time of year when I go boating anyway so it could have been a lot worse.

Thank you. I don’t know wether it makes it better or worse but I’ve been inundated with comments and messages of people being shafted by the DVLA. They need to be torn apart and rebuilt from scratch.

Depends on your definition of ‘ripped to pieces’. It’s clear many of you find the idea of people disagreeing with you horrifying,
The irony.
Is this where you tell me you know best how I feel? Do you think I voluntarily go head to head with you (and others) so very often because I hate it and find it stressful? Do you think your opinions are that important in the grand scheme of things?

Opinions do tend to be important to oneself.
How you grade them is irrelevant.

None of our opinions matter one jot in the grand scheme of things. Only the self important think they matter.

I guess it depends on your view of what the grand scheme is.
We form opinions to help us navigate our way through life. As grand schemes go in that context, I’d suggest they’re vital.
