Piston broke:
And neither can you… There does seem to be an endless list of reasons (excuses…) for not doing this or that
If and when you become an OD, who or what are you going to blame then?
Everyone has their niche in life - you may have found yours with your ■■■■■■■ in the cab thread… (which is bloody funny, by the way)

Got plenty of time tomorrow to clean (and ■■■■) in the cab…On muck from Oxford tomorrow for Optimise; Not unxommon to take an hour to get a load on…“We work until half 6 driver” Paddy told me last time I was there…“Best of luck” I told him; “I’ll have eaten my dinner by then”
Where’s that popcorn icon?
If you do go O/D Muckaway its going to get very interesting. You’ll need so many loads a day to pay fixed costs + variable costs + wage + profit, but the office won’t be handing enough loads out to you for you to pay them because they know you like to get home in time for tea.
When I used to drive for P & O Ferrymasters and be away Fri- Sun used to do more hours over the 3 days than your average public sector worker does in 5 days. (39 v 37hrs)
My company supply the phone and the Parrot hands-free kit. They don’t mind a
reasonable amount of private calls either. In fact I don’t need to own my own phone.
For all those reasons, it’s never off and they can call me anytime they like, even at 2am
to ask if I need to ‘go-to-the-loo’.

If im on 45mins or daily rest both personal & work phones go on silent. Im adamant Norfolkline deliberately look the tracker and phone when your parked up…
I always do a double take if I see a stationary Norfolk line trailer…
Most transport companies aim to make a 5% profit (if they’re very lucky!) So if you work flat out 12 hours a day, 5 days a week from 6AM to 6PM, you will only start to make a profit after 3PM on Friday!

That’s nice, I finish at 4:30
nearly there:
I dont answer my phone at work as its my own phone ie the work havent paid towards it and my boss is a useless gimp
best saying i heard for a while LoL
Since my “phone off” actions, a lot of other drivers have followed suit; I put phone back on to see what would happen and I’ve been called to do late/extra loads which, now my employer’s paying £10.50 ph after 5pm plus an increase in load bonus rates has resulted in me being quids in
Is this a bit underhanded?
