Can anyone tell me for sure please whether we’d be into the dreaded LEZ going to this place (TW19 7NL)? The TFL interactive map seems to show the road to it exempt but their building and roads, which may be public or private, inside it anyone tell me for sure? chars
.
Just looked at Google earth street view. The LEZ starts the other side of the roundabout that you will turn left off of, to go into Swissport. So according to me you are OUTSIDE the LEZ
Just do what everybody else does and stick some Duck Tape across your front number plate when you get to the signs.
.
It’s inside the zone.
LEZ kicks in on the A30 at the Clockhouse roundabout, which you’d have to go through to reach the lights where you turn left onto Stanwell Rd.
The route in from the M25 at J14 (Southern Perimeter Rd) is also in the LEZ.
I’m pretty sure we can get to their door without being in it (M25 exit 14 - A3113 Airport Way - turn right A3044 Stanwell Moor Road - turn left B378 Park Road - bear left High Street and turn right Bedfont Road to roundabout) just unsure if the roads in there are covered as the TFL map suggests - can’t imagine they are

But in real life they don’t do they H!
You can go that way providing you’re under 7.5 ton.
B378 through Stanwell village is weight limited.

The LEZ doesn’t seem to follow the GLA boundary exactly and just to add to the confusion in that area they’ve been messing around with the Spelthorne/Hounslow (GLA) boundary over the years so it’s no wonder that it’s difficult to be sure where the boundary actually is.

I couldn’t possibly say.
But in real life, you’ll probably find it’s like the Coca-Cola bottling plant at Sidcup, a little enclave which should logically be inside the LEZ, but for some reason isn’t.

It is a mess round there trying to work out which authority is actually in charge of what roads.
Our yard is in Poyle, the top yard comes under Spelthorne but the access road and bottom yards are Slough borough council.
Makes it interesting for the landowner when it comes to planning issues

Spelthorne is North of the river and actually belongs in the old County of Middx which was all transferred to Greater London but for some reason they also took loads of Surrey including the County town and put it into Greater London and then they put Spelthorne in Surrey. But then they transferred some of Spelthorne back to Hounslow so it became part of Greater London anyway and that’s why that place seems to be within the LEZ like a lot of those parts of Surrey (and Middlesex) which are part of the LEZ and GLA loony zone but shouldn’t be.

Just rechecked on Street View. Swissport IS outside the LEZ, BUT the only way to it IS through the LEZ unless you are under 7.5 ton

Maybe it’s time for every county that borders London to impose a ‘congestion’ charge on all vehicles crossing their boundary from London with a rebate for residents.
According to the TFL checker, it’s inside the LEZ.

That’s the logical conclusion going by the map.If anyone thinks the set up there is confusing check out the situation in the ‘London Borough’ of Kingston. They seem to have left the A3 outside of the LEZ up to New Malden but you don’t seem to be able get to Chessington industrial estate without going into it.It looks as though they’ve actually designed the boundary in many places to actually catch people out and therefore raise revenues .

Cheers, Hobson’s Choice then! might go for the 7.5t option presuming it’s an ‘environmental’ rather than structural limit - if we get caught just plead it was the only route to avoid the LEZ
