According to the BBC News online Swine flu is spreading like wild fire across Europe, with the UK particularly badly affected. It would seem that before long most of us are going to cop for it.
As most euro drivers will know there is nothing worse than falling ill whilst away from home and stuck in a truck cab and Swine flu sounds as though it could be a real bugger. It would seem reasonable therefore that we should be able to get Tamiflu issued as a precautionary measure - does anyone know where it might be obtained?
SARS, BIRD FLU, SWINE FLU and there’s a lot more I’ve forgotten they were all suppose to see us off. I’ll take my chances.
I wonder if there wasn’t a need to fill 24 hour news channels with headlines that the public’s attitude would be different. Do you remember Iraq could launch a nuclear attack, if you listen to something enough times you end up believing anything.
Hombre.I have heard of swine flu parties.Where people with the HN strain catch it from each other in the less stronger form in the summer months, rather than the stronger form that may arise in the winter,to gain immunity from it.I have been laid up ill in a cab,it is no fun.Food poisoning, etc. As you know in Spain, you do not need to see a doctor for prescriptions, unlike the UK.I could get Gastric reflux medicine over the counter, and once walked in to Madrid airport to get some antibiotics, from the duty doctor in the terminals.
I was talking to a doctor about this last week and he said that you just feel like you have got a bad cold, apparently it only lasts for around 3 days and it takes 2 days for the drugs to work.
