Yes why not. Hauliers going into London have to have Low emission vehicles which also comply with the safer lorry scheme and also use roads at night that can take a much longer route costing more in time wages and fuel because of the lorry ban.
I wouldn’t use congestion as an argument as any city or motorway in this country can come to a standstill just as easily.
What’s so wrong about adding £50 to every London job to help compensate for this.
I was doing this 15 years ago. If the customer wanted me to go into London he paid for the extra time involved. I thought everyone did!
