Sunday Monday weekly rest

Hi Guys,

I am looking for a bit of advice. Can someone tell me if it is legal to carry weekly rest from Sunday through to Monday?

I am currently working as follows:-

Wk1
Monday - Working
Tuesday - Rest
Wednesday - Working
Thursday - Working
Friday - Working
Saturday - Working
Sunday - Rest

Wk2
Monday - Rest
Tuesday - Working
Wednesday - Working
Thursday - Working
Friday - Working
Saturday - Working
Sunday - Rest

Wk3
Monday - Working
Tuesday - Working
Wednesday - Rest
Thursday - Working
Friday - Working
Saturday - Working
Sunday - Rest

Wk4
Monday - Rest
Tuesday - Working
Wednesday - Working
Thursday - Working
Friday - Working
Saturday - Working
Sunday - Rest

Any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers

Yes, A weekly rest period which begins in one week and continues into the following week may be attached to either week but not both.

Based on the information you have given your work pattern looks legal.

Thanks for the quick answer Coffeeholic!

If I had to work either the Tuesday in Wk1 or the Wednesday in Wk3 then would it become illegal?

cheers again

No not necessarily. It may have a bearing on compensation for reduced weekly rest periods but based purely on the information given you could work either, or both, of those days and still be legal. If you were to work both of those days you would have a pattern of 6 day week, 5 day week, 6 day week, 5 day week etc. That is exactly my work pattern and it is legal.

Thanks Coffeeholic

so long as none of those tuesdays fall on pancake tuesday your ok
