I think this subject has been covered on here before but can anyone update me on the sunday ban on the A1 between burgos and madrid on sundays.
Came of the boat at santander a few weeks ago and got stopped at km 107 by the guardia cival and fined 315euros,there was about 30-40 trucks stopped and fined in the time i was there up until 22.00-this was daylight robbery by the spanish and there was very little warning about the ban.
Went to the cash machine at the autogrill at km 107 but it was broken and so had to hire a taxi to take me to boceguillas so i could get to a cash machine to pay the fine.
Does this driving ban run every sunday on the A1 or is it just certain sundays,also got told there is a website that displays driving bans in spain for trucks-does anyone know this web address?
You say there was very little warning ? that means there was a warning then ?

Over the years I have been stopped and parked up by the police, due to the Sunday ban. But there was never any prior warning as to the ban and I never got fined.
However last year after using the Cotentin to Santander I went via Arevelo down the A6 and the overhead signs said no trucks between 1600h and 2300h. I bottled it and parked up.

Not as far as I know none of it is completely on one site.
Reasons the way Spain is constructed.
The Directorate General de Trafico is responsible for the roads in most of Spain and take the decisions where and when bans will be applied.
The Catalan government does the same for their regions and the Basque government for their region and no one can be bothered to post it all in one particular place.
I get a list every month with any bans that apply to my area passed on by head office in Holland who get it issued to them by the Dutch version of the RHA.
There should have been signs with a red truck ban indicating the date and time of the ban.Its normally when traffic volumes are high,they decide to park the trucks up.Which foreign driver has time to stop and look at a local newspaper to check the latest ban routes and dates and times it is enforced.Foreign truckers are looked at as mobile cash cows,or a bank on wheels,basicaly they have got us by the gooleys,like horse and carts from the wild west days in the USA and ■■■■ Turpin ransoms of highwaymen. 
Many roads in Spain now are equipped with electronic matrix signs and very often, though not always they display advanced warnings on approaches to closures.
Yesterday for instance the signs on the M50 showed advance warning of closures on the A3/R3, A1/R1 and A4/R4 - all from 0700 - 1300. In the case of the A4/R4 it they indicated the ban from Km13 to Km 87 on the A4.
As luck would have it I was heading home on and needed to use the A4, as it was closed “Plan B” was implemented - so if you need to head south on the A4 from the M50 during a ban then use the following route:
Continue on M50 to A5/R5 follow R5 to AP41 Toledo, at Toledo follow N401 / N400 / then CM42 to Ciuidad Real / Madridejos - rejoin A4 south at Madridejos. Good fast roads and you dont lose too much time either.

They include everything basically
the ban means all trucks so if you’ve got a fridge take a couple of hours break and get some suntan

The day i got done i was carrying both fresh and frozen-the guardia cival officer said the only goods that can move is milk.

and fuel to petrol stations, some factories that have 24/7 production can apply for and do reveive exemptions for the vehicles that have to deliver to them.
