Im looking to buy a new, or better still, a reconditioned suitcase generator but not sure what size or power to go for. I want to power a regular microwave in my cab but have no real idea what would be the best way to do this. I want to secure it on the back of my cab with an extension cable running inside so i can use a 3 pin plug ! I want to get it right before i buy one as I only have the budget to do it once.
If any of you guys have experience on this i would greatly appreciate any help or guidance on this. Cheers
Why not get a decent inverter? You can plug it in to the anderson lead socket when required and for a 1000W 24V one which will run any domestic microwave is in the region of £170

anderson lead into the side locker and mount it in there, small power cable into the cab

My wife’s flyball team held an event at York racecourse earlier this summer. During the afternoon a load of them went through the campsite and nicked a dozen gennies including those bolted to the caravans.
If you do get one and want to run electronics from it such as a laptop or games console etc you want an inverter one which is more expensive. 2kW should be plenty.

should have had a look at the gdsf as they all had about 5 gennys each for sale
