Suggestions for a Driver Bonus Scheme

we will have a monitering sytem called ‘opti fuel’ in use, which moniters how the vehicles are driven regarding mpg, braking acceleration etc
these are renault premium artics.
i was also looking at attendance, appearence,as a uniform is provided & expected to be worn, reliability.
what other criteria would/could you use.

Damage should fit in.

Just curious but what would that opti fuel system cost?

Vehicle cleanliness, tacho infringements and mirror breakage bonus.

i believe it’s about £1500,this includes training for up to 8 people on how to use the software, all the software, leads etc & updates as long as you have the system.
as of jan next year the entire fleet will be renaults, which will be 9 artics,1x17t rigid,3x6 wheeler hook loaders & 1x7.5t rigid,so it seems a good investment.i am being trained up by renault on how to get the best from the trucks & then i will be going out with drivers & advising them on the same driving techniques, hopefully will improve fuel economy, lower maintenance costs etc…
i get an e-mail from the sales guy we deal with, when he downloads all the info & there is a lot useful stuff on there.idle time, mpg, mpg on cruise control & some more which i need to learn.will be very informative as to how the trucks are being driven.

thats 1 thing the drivers i work with are very good at,trucks are washed weekly by a firm that comes in,all the cabs are spotless inside bar 2.damage is very rare as are tacho infringments.
there are 2 drivers though who do find it difficult to use a bit of polish & a duster to keep the inside clean.they don’t do nights outs so probably aren’t bothered about a clean cab.that might change if there’s momey involved…

% of truck earnings after fuel. they will be keen to graft, but keep an eye on the fuel.
