I know a few of you have a look on here now and then, so I was wondering, do you have any way of communicating with the genius that thinks up the banal messages we see on the gantry’s.
So instead of safe tyres save lives, how about,in times of heavy rain/spray on the motorway, can we have for example: POOR VISIBILITY SWITCH ON HEADLIGHTS.
I know this have been mentioned before, but, that would actually be useful, as apposed to the usual crap.
Or “the zb out of the middle lane you zb”
Or, in the event of rain or a very light mist:
“IT’S NOT FOGGY. TURN OFF YOUR FOGLIGHTS, YOU DEPRESSING MORON”
“Nice T*ts”
Please … don’t give them any more ideals they’ll be shutting down lanes 1 and 3 due to spray next
They seem to be particularly banal on the M74
How about “Get te Falkirk!” or “See you ya numpties”
The M74 is in Scotland, so not HA , so you need to let the frock-wearers know what you’d like on the signs.
The “Campaign” messages are decided on 12 months in advance by those in suites with bigger pay packets then any “Womble”.
Where, what & for how long they’ll be shown is often set to coincide with historic incidents around that area / time of year etc.
For example “Think Bike” is often shown around race track locations when there are large bike events on.
“Don’t drive tired” around the summer holiday times.
Others are where there are historic data for certain types of incidents.

If you didn’t see the tyre incidents and tyre debris on Youtube try taking a look then ask the dead coach passengers running on old tyres what they think of the campaign.
They already put ‘spray slow down’ up for idiots.
Think Bike…Bikers THINK
If enough of you phoned the HAIL Line 0300 123 5000 and complain about the messages and make your suggestions who knows they may listen.

Understand your point but do you really think any driver going past a current ‘safe tyres saves lives’ is actually going to read it & then at some point very soon thereafter check them ■■ … I think not.
Would save more lives & accidents putting something up that’s relevant to the current driving conditions ie: Turn Lights On !!

That made me lol

They must of had the last five years off!
Herongate:
“Nice T*ts”
The ones that make me laugh are “Red X Means Lane Closed” and of course “Queue Caution”
I thought " RED X IS MANDATORY " meant legally you always had to use the fuel additive !!

You haven’t got to worry about either in ■■■■■■■■ we have no red Xs or traffic!!!
Honk if you had it last night

Love this is idea…
So when passing up or down the M69 during August why not have ‘Please don’t hack the enemy to death’ in honour of the Battle of Bosworth Field - an historic event from the area…
It would mean no less than the ■■■■ they currently post up on the signs…
