As the title says had a successful job interview with a family run quarrying outfit driving tippers and skip lorries, £1.69 an hour more than my current employer, now just have to hand in my notice of 2 weeks then start, can’t wait. Have to say I have no problems with my current employer, but for the massive size they pay peanuts, so had to make some sort of move as they weren’t willing to up the money. they’ve put me through some training and will probably fleece my last pay cheque, I know loyalty is a thing of the past but should I work out my notice in full or just leave after a week? What’s your thoughts?
congratulations on your new job, personally id give the proper notice, if you don’t then they can hold your money if you done a lying week, you also may need a reference at some stage which they may decline to give you
