just latey ive seen some bad sites the M62 from the M6 towards manchetser has some bad areas every few hunderd yards.plus there are 2 real bad ons on the A47 passing the hospital that bad that u nearly get thrown out ur seat round the cab.wonder how long till a accident is going to happen due to this.plus there the lane shut off east bound round knottingley.
how soon will these get sort as its going to start to affect ur driving and damage the truck even loads passing over these at speeds.plus if u know about them u will slow down for them and course major hold ups in doing so
That stretch of the M62 from the M6 towards Manchester has always been bad,I think it’s down to mining subsidence, strange that most of it has been re tarmaced, but they haven’t levelled the road first!,just re surfaced the bumps!
They are actually in the process of levelling the worst of the subsidence on the M62 between J11 - J12. Those that go through there at night-time will notice, There is also free recovery during the weekend when the major work will be done, This may include full closures now and again. I think the work is planned to take upto March to complete, but can’t confirm without checking.
when the m62 was built , barton moss was a peat bog . the amount of crap that went in when the peat was dug out was unbelievable , add mining subsidence to the equation and it will never stop sinking unless it is completely rebuilt . not mmtm , i worked on it .
Was gonna say that stretch of the M62 is being relaid, properly this time too with the bumps being levelled out. There was a bad dip just under a bridge on that stretch which has been levelled out. I don’t think it will ever be fully flat but they seem to be making a valid attempt at sorting it out. Once it’s finished it will be interesting to see how long it lasts before it sinks again.
The west bound carriageway is getting quite bad though, I was in lane 2 last night overtaking and was being bounced about all over the place!
