Does anybody know if, and most important, HOW, to remove your Digi card at the end of the day without the ignition on??
I.e., jus in case the impatient shunter breaks the ignition key, in the ignition!!
Fortunately I was able to wiggle it enough to get the ignition on, 15 mins wasted at end of day grrr but got my card out.
Jus wanna ask in case it happens again

Press & hold #1 (or 2) till it asks for End Country, hit ok and it should pop out. Should work with or without ignition on - or have your VUs only got power with the ignition on 
Edit: This is at least true for the new style Stoneridge units fitted to Scanias, I guess it could be different for other units/trucks 
It all depends if its wired to operate with or without ignition. nothing you can do except ask the tm if they can get it changed.

It depends how they are wired as far as I know. When I drove coaches if the ignition was off it would say ejection not possible. Now driving trucks card will eject no probs. Both cases VDO units

Ignition off ours are in darkness,wont eject or change mode…

But The \OP’s question was is there anyway of getting your card out if the ignition is off Relating to vehicles with out the option you have
I can’t answer the question, but the best thing you can do is to pull the card if there is any possibility that someone else could move the truck, don’t give the shunter the opportunity.
TAKE THE CHUFFIN KEYS OUT SHUNTER CANT DO SQUAT and if he plays up tell him to do one
