I remember many Trojan Vans in Bedford area, noisy Perkins engines in some of them, smoked a fair bit as well.
I think it was South Coast Dairies joined Home Counties Dairies alongwith Cow and Gate, to form UNIGATE Dairies Ltd.
IIRC when I was there in Southampton (1974) the O Licence said Home Counties Dairies.
