Love em or hate em, the top exponents display extraordinary levels of accomplishment. I always found david copperfields caesars palace style very kitsch and all-american, making an elephant disappear up a mouses ■■■ and such like.
Chris Angel never captured my imagination either for the same reason.
David Blaine started his career impressively, but then he went all David Icke wackyweird.
Enter little, skinny Dynamo - Now this guy just fries my brain with his under-your-nose antics. How in the name of all that`s holy does he engineer such seemingly supernatural feats - and where the hell do they learn this stuff?
wouldnt it be great to freak people out like that? Id never have to buy a round again!
One of my uncles worked on the Dynamo show (he’s a magician) but he will never tell!
There’s a new fella on ITV who’s pretty good called Ben Hanlin.
David Blaine was recently on channel 4 but it was back to basics illusions and magic and quite good to watch. None of that stupid starve in a box for 40 days crap.

I was living in S. London when he did that crane-suspended perspex box stunt. Talk about welcome to blighty -
people breaking out their R/C model helicopters to dangle macdonalds burgers around his head!
bouncing golf balls against the box all hours of the day and night, (teed off from tower bridge, I think)
and a constant array of London “ladies” flashing their ■■■■ at him
One of the few occasions that I felt genuinely proud to be English!!
