I had only been an owner driver for 7 months when I was in a lay-by having a break on A345 at Netheravon, Wiltshire when A landrover indicated and started to turn into the lay-by - just as a woman in a Peugeot 406 started to overtake him.
she pushed my poor strato back 4 feet. I was ok, the woman was taken to hospital to stop the bleeding to her face and hands and the bloke in the landrover was ok.
the strato had only done 300000 kms when I bought it as it had been a seddon atkinson courtesy vehicle. it had none of the usual rust found on stratos.
Looks like a nasty one. Thats a nice unit you had though, I respect guys that buy units like that. Most won’t do the job unless they are driving a new scania etc.
Joshh:
glad you was fine, and the truck was repairable nice motor you had and even nicer in blue so what do you drive now?
You like seddys? The armed forces have hundreds of them, if you get in quick enough you’ll get to have a go of some before the Oshkosh MET (on your pic) replaces them.

Welshknight - yes corbetts have it now although it isnt on the road. its also been in a jackknife since ive had it. it was repaired again before xmas. its sat in their yard in bagillt.
Joshh - Ive got an ERF ECX 6x2 unit at the moment because the tipper work has gone quiet. My foden alpha 8 wheeler is sat in the corner of the yard until work picks up again.
euroscott - Yes it was very tidy - it still had the plastic on the beds, walls, engine bonnet and passeger seat when I got it. no rust anywhere either. only bad thing is that it wasnt a midlift and it would get stuck easy on building sites.
