hitch:
on the subject of strage pullings
i saw an 2 Argos (Wincanton) tractors pulling Wilkos or ex Wilkos trailers
Every Argos unit i’ve seen on the M4/5 the last couple of days has been pulling ex wilko’s boxes,in the christmas rush any box van with a tailift will do
You’re scraping the barrel if you need one from wilkos, they look smart because they’ve been painted etc but I’d say 70% are rickety old bags of ■■■!
What’s that DARE crap on the back of Wilkos trailers. You’re right they are ancient old bags of ■■■, I keep expecting to find a Roadtrain pulling one…

stuff that for a lark.
Did that for the last couple of years when I worked for Howdens. What a nightmare. I surprised Fowler Welch make any money at all lol

May not be a money maker, but if it pulls enough to cover the truck and wages for a couple o week then at least they aint losing owt.
Better than having a truck in the yard and a driver sat in the canteen all day.

Was thinking more about FW really; IMHO very badly organised. I was standing in their office and I thought a fight was going to break out between two of the office staff
Tarmac Trupak pulled for ASDA last year in the run up to Christmas.
Not sure if it will happen again this year - it wasn’t very popular with the regular drivers. They are used to delivering to builders merchants - in and out in 20 minutes sort of thing! Running from Redhouse at Doncaster down to Chepstow then waiting 4 hours for a double decker to get tipped was a big shock to the system!
