Whist northbound on the M1 J21a about 14:00 today I saw a strange looking trailer behind a Actros. The trailer was a grey box, with a single axle towards the rear. Nothing odd there. The odd thing was the roofline went up higher as you got towards the rear (the front of the trailer looked like a single deck, the rear looked like a double deck). The roof line did not curve like these teardrop trailers or curved front deckers. It was perfectly straight from front to back.
There are some trls that have slightly higher roof towards the rear … they have roller shutter back door and extra roof height allows say roll cages from the front of the trl to be unloaded without the shutter getting in the way.
I think Tosco have some urban trls with this idea … hopefully some-one might be along with photos
Thanks for the reply. This was more than just shutter clearance, thats what drew my attention. At first I thought it might be for roof trusses, but it was box trailer and only a single axle so would not hold the weight surely?
I remember towards the back it had 3 letters (something like GSB) but I can not remember what they were.
