Currently having a 45 in Wetherby services and happened to glance across at the Spiers & Hartwell motor parked beside me. I could see the drivers hands being really busy and thought “hello, surely there’s a time and place for that!”
Turns out the driver was knitting!
It was only when the driver leaned forward that I realised it was in fact a laydeee! Looks very relaxing and therapeutic though, might take up a bit of knitting myself methinks.
I’ve got a mate who knits, he moved to the Frozen North/Durham last year & that’s what happens !
You have to knit your own jumpers & woolly hats to survive.
I was at Wetherby services a couple or so weeks ago but not knitting though, I’d end up dropping stiches & the wool & getting all ■■■■■■■ with it credit due to all those that can knit
parked at waitrose Bracknell one day and the guy beside my truck bought out a guitar and started playing[ok not the same as knitting] but it was the first time in all the years I have been driving that I have seen that, and for the record he was bxxxxy good

Last year I was on a TNT contract for Roadways and had to start at 5pm every night but did not actually do anything until 10 pm! (Don’t ask that is Roadways for you). Anyway the boredom was soul destroying so I started taking my acoustic and my scales and chords books. My acoustic guitar skills come on a treat
