So the other day I was trundling along a single carriageway for about 5 miles doing about 49-50 in a 50 and heading towards the M4 over in the land of Welsh people and all that time I had a wagon behind trying in vain to push me faster by getting up my arse and out a bit and hitting every single cats eye for miles (maybe the bumping was turning him on), anyway it didn’t work as I rightly held my speed.
So now we get onto the motorway and he’s straight out to lane 2 from the slip road without even looking to see what speed I’m going to settle at, as it happens I wanted to crack on so accelerated up to top speed (90k) and promptly left him stranded and slowly getting smaller in my mirror and thought what actually made him think he could get pass just because I stuck to the speed limit previously.
Anyway slate me by all means but he was definitely a tad impatient.

However if some ■■■■ in an artic is trying to push or intimidate me as you describe, I slow down a couple of clicks, if that makes me as bad as him, …couldn’t give a toss.

Could we maybe set up some kind of signal that we could use between ourselves? One flash and a secret hand signal would mean: On my way to the gym, please let me pass. Two flashes and a more vigorous gesture out of the window could mean: Urgently need the gym. Me quads are in a helluva, state please let me by ASAP, and so on…
Yep. Get this all the time. For some reason some drivers think you aren’t going to accelerate to the limiter on a motorway just because you’ve been drive at the speed limit on a slower road! Don’t know where the logic is but whatever. Let em crack on

I’d of had him well before he got too the motorway
I love to come across another driver on an A road, takes the pressure off as I no longer need to act as the pacesetter, I can just sit back, leave a massive gap for faster traffic to get into and relax.
If a DC section appears I’ll knock her up to 54 and if a fellow damsel attempts a slow overtake I usually wait till their level with me cab then go full throttle till I’m tickling 57 and I can visibly see their manhood being diminished.
Once they’ve waved and pulled back in I slow back down to 54 until their next attempt and repeat. I make loads of friends this way but do get beaten up a lot.
I’m worried as my current cruiser has been condemned thanks to the gearbox going so I’m getting a new ride tomorrow. The current one DID about 57mph, I’m afraid the new one might only do 56mph.

Since when have Asda vehicles done 90 .
Most of them at our depot do 90 but there is the odd one or two that max out at 85.
Some of their vehicles up here appear to max out at 45mph on a 2 lane motorway with a line of cars preventing me from getting into lane 2. Its even more annoying when its a car going that slow or worse still, varying their speed between 45 and 55. USE CRUISE CONTROL!!!
