Going along just doing my job this morning next thing two police offices step out into the road from the edge and point me in the direction of a little entrance to something.One asks me where I am going as ime in a 7.5t limit.I told her I was collecting from down the road,she asked for my paperwork which i didn’t have.After a few more questions they said all is ok we will watch the road and back you out.My point is this job is just a joke,the dole dossers lie in their pit till what time they want and ime sure we are there to help fund it.It could easily of been a genuine mistake to be there and do you think they would of let me off no chance rant over.
you could have had some fun with them.
tell them it’s company policy not to reverse, could she do it for you.
done it loads of times on building sites. blind in my back eye. been bitten by a gutter weasel. left locks fell off.

Plod stopped me at a traffic census and I refused to tell the guy where I was going. He got really irate, said I was committing an offense and when copper came over, I told him I was delivering to an MOD site and so I wouldn’t tell him where it was, where I’d been or what I was carrying. I was lying but it wound up the sadcase with the clipboard.
So your angry because the police stopped you to check you had a reason to be in a weight limit, you did, so they left you to go on your merry way. I’d hate to see how angry you’d get if you were actually caught for something!

I love winding these census guys up…not nearly enough censuses (censi ?) taken IMO.
Last one was told, Id loaded in Azebaijan and were in transit to Iceland (the country not the frozen food store) and that I was carrying old VW Beetle radiators.
He wrote all this down on his form, and commented on my long journey.
Oh yes and I was driving a freinds EMPTY Transit pick-up

Cannot see a problem with what they did. The only thing i can see is you getting upset about it 
If I’m going to colkect muck in a weight limit and I’m stopped, chances are the only paperwork to prove where I’m going is written by me; A waste transfer note. I suppose the police could follow me and watch the digger load me??

The road we need around here (Cogges Link Road) keeps attracting NIMBYs and the farmer whos’ land is subject to Comp’ Purchase is kicking up…Despite the fact that he sold large amounts of land to developers that’s caused the traffic problems.
Got pulled into a census once, told him I had no paperwork, couldn’t tell him anything about myself, the trip or the load, and that I wasn’t allowed to exit the cab under any circumstances. I did however, advise them that if they had a quiet chat with the two uniformed gentlemen in the black Mondeo that was in the queue approx 10 cars behind me they may (or may not) confirm my story as they were “covertly escorting” me to my destintation.
The officer paused for a bit, looked back in the queue then thanked me kindly and let me on my way…
Always wondered when he looked back in the queue, did he actually see a black Mondeo, and if so did he pull it in…?
