Normal set up is neutral and handbrake and it will turn off engine, as soon as you put your foot on the clutch it will fire up again
Thanks, that’s what I’m doing but doesn’t always seem to work ,I’ll ask when it goes in for service
Your mrs got you the car■■?
I wouldn’t let my mrs choose me a car god knows what I’d end up with
It won’t kick until the car reaches a certain temperature, it also won’t work at certain ambient temperatures, battery charge level and fuel levels.

Yep, depends what you got running too. Lights, demisters, blowers all ■■■■ up a lot of electric so she’ll keep running.
My 1986 Mini City E had that. Normally during heavy rain. You could override the function with WD40.
British Leyland, god bless 'em. They made cars with one arm in the air.
The few cars I’ve hired over there have had this and it seems that if you don’t travel far enough, or for long enough between stops, they just keep running. I just cancelled the bloody things.
