So last year all the stones on the side of the road of the Hampshire stretch of the A34 were replaced, which caused lane closures for weeks and now the Oxford section is having the same treatment.
My question is, why replace the stones? Have they worn out? Is the colour no longer aesthetically pleasing?
Much like the vast sums of money paid to put drop kerbs and marker posts on the laybys. Who needs drop kerbs in a layby?
