As it is a Scania it looks like the fire has only improved it.
Number one rule in English road transport going back to the days when you could park up on the dock road and go to the Sally Army, don’t park up in Liverpool. In days gone by I had a tip at 0600 on a Monday morning but never went near the place, my mate did and ended up with half a load missing a brick through the windscreen, just little Scallies so the copper told us.
Unfortunately i sometimes have to park in Liverpool.I stayed on Regent road(by the ferry terminal) and fortunately was not touched.I was unit only and have been told its relatively safe to park there as coppers ride around quite often. In fact when i woke at 4am,the road was packed with trucks.
I was told its a lot safer parking there than sandhills ind park where i dropped the trailer.
have done some biggish moves out of seaforth the last few weeks, last one was a dutch lad (load going to rotterdam) and i told him all serious not to go over 60kph up onto switch island, “yeah no problem” - and not below 40kph, he looked puzzled until i told him that under that speed the locals would have his wheels / the load / his watch off

oh don’t be so touchy - everyone knows scousers would nick the saddle off a nightmare even the local pilot car driver was talking up their adeptness at “borrowing” things

Yeah, once nicked some Raleigh bikes off my mate’s trailer and them rode them round the bomb site without the tyres
Didn’t touch my load as I gave them a small consideration to ‘look after the wagon’ .
Shhh, don’t tell GuyRope
Did get it back off the boss though .
BTW if you’re wondering how long ago this was the words ‘bomb site’ and ‘half a crown’ should be a clue
Salut, David.
Heard on the news this morning:
“Two planeloads of scousers have just arrived back home from New Orleans. They’ve been helping with the looting”
