Dont bother calling at Stockyard truckstop on a sunday, Unless you want a full sunday carvery dinner, you will not get anything, They wont even serve you a hot roast roll!
Truckers are seen as a nuisence which is very surprising considering its reputation before the founder unfortunatually died.
better than a pasty, people eat sunday dinners on a sunday,if it was chips chips chips then you would have summat to moan about, its sunday

which i do…so no problem
When i did nights out, or was going to eat out and not when i got home, the one thing i always searched out was real food, and Sunday carvery/dinner with lots of lovely veg comes into the real food category, thank goodness a caterer that welcomes transport still wants to serve up proper grub.
Chips burger and smattering of plastic peas are not a meal for a working man, you’d get had up by the RSPCA if you fed your mangy dog that pap.

You have all missed the point! Why should i have to pay a tenner for a sunday dinner when all i wanted is a health poached egg on toast, i had a roast dinner to look forward to at home at teatime.
Whatever happened to the customer is right! Or dont we believe in service anymore, what we need is choice.
Pray tell me where this services on two minites away, and the nearest at woodall dont do healthy snacks just fast food!

Iirc Morrisons is just over the M way, they’ll have a cafe no doubt.
You won’t get much sympathy from the bottom lip over top lip brigade placing a post like that on this forum! Didn’t you know you’ve to be thankful for what you get! The only reason why you can’t get anything other than a cheap carvery meal is because the establishment can’t be bothered to do otherwise - its that basic.
You’ve got to remember stockyard is just really a pub with HGV parking now. Always full of locals. I wouldn’t go to my local pub on a Sunday and expect them to do me poached egg on toast.
Sunday is Sunday roast day
i cant see it being fully staffed on a sunday either, unless next week they set a few more on just incase somebody fancys poached egg on toast because their lass has done him a dinner for when he gets in ,i bet theres not half a dozen trucks call in on a sunday
I’ve always thought the stockyard was one of the best truck stops in the country.
What a downer, they only serve a full carvery on a Sunday…
The cauliflower cheese is very tasty.

Try parking at Morrison’s, walking inside to the Café and youll get you eggs on toast, or anything else that's on the menu at the time. Failing that there's Mac D
s & dominos across the road from Morrison
s, and a Chinese takeaway 200yds up the road with 2 splendid pubs serving all manner of meals not far away.
Around the corner from the pubs, are a chip shop, indian, kebab and several other takeaways
