Traditionally, vehicles, ships, and I think planes, have always had female names.
It used to be men that were in charge of them and it was probably the only time that guys could be fully in control of a female

there not all called girl’s names - there is 1 exception ive never seen it but’ its a man unit that says optimus prime.

Innovate trucks are named by the big wigs after relatives and children etc Most of them are female names, like “Catherine Anne” or one the other day “Lolly” I think there might be a few male ones but I can’t honestly remember any so not sure.
Everyone is at it.
The firm that i work for gives all the trucks female names, but they’ve just started giving them famous artists names.
i haven’t got a clue what my trucks name is lol never bother to look lol. Probably named fairy or some ■■■■■ like that.
i’ll get some pics up so you can see and have a laugh.
when i was at stobbies the fh i had was called sharon,which by co incidence was the same name as the bird i was knockin off at the time,the wagon had bigger headlamps tho 
,but,was never as dirty as her,once inside for the night!
