Well, as a new driver and new to the industry I was happy to get the call friday afternoon to see if I would do a saturday shift at 6am, I said yes no probs, got really hyped up lol like a kid in a sweet shop I thought yes iv made it lol so I had my early night got up early and got there 20mins early (showing willing) only to be told my name wasn’t down on the list of drivers but to wait in case any other agency driver didn’t arrive, although one of the drivers turned up late for there shift I was gutted after ringing agency that there was miscommunication and accept they didn’t pass my name on, was gutted,not just for getting more experiance but for the oppurtunity to jump in a green and white cab, the embarrasing thing was as I was told to stand down it was like doing the walk of shame thru a set of stobbie drivers uniformed up looking down on me, felt ■■■■ ever since, hope I get some sort of payment for putting myself out but,spose mistakes happen and unfotunatly was my. Turn lol, how was everyone elses weekend then

I had to wear a Gimp Mask with a red ball in my mouth whilst my wife abused me with an impliment…still gotta be better than getting abused by agency! 
Think they just got you there incase anyone of the other agency lads didn’t turn in. Thats what you get with agencies. Keep trying though mate your luck will change 1 day.
pmsl yorkie, can it really be like that spectron spesh when you put urself out to help others? better take rough with smooth and expect the same every now and then lol, signed with qs now so hopefully get summats with them instead
Not being funny mate just letting you know how devious these agencies can be.
I worked for 1 like you before sighing up. They told me it was £8 ph did a week went in at weekend signed up worked the next week and the following Monday,got home to a pay slip that said £7.18 ph phoned agency told them they had made a mistake.
Oh no sorry we forgot to tell you we take 82p ph to cover holiday pay. Anyway to cut a long story short i got the
£8 ph and told them to shove it. Keep trying with company’s though I’ve only just passed my C+E 8 months ago, and managed to get a job within 2 weeks of passing my test with zero experience and like the job I’m doing now.
Dose anybody no were or what to do to try and get in touch with dhl/Morrison tanker driving desperate to get my cv across just Dont have a clue what to do.
You should get 8hrs, demand it, tell them you turned down other work 10 mins after accepting their work etc.
Not your fault that ‘they didn’t put you on the list’.
You may end up with 5hrs, but still better than a kick in the teeth, I’d rather get 5hrs and stood down than do a full day on Stobarts tbh lol
Oh, I’m on agency for them too, get a couple - 3 days a week.

iknow a while ago a agency driver turned up on a sunday and was told he wasnt booked to be there,he said his agency had told him to come in,not sure what happened next[who was rung] but they told him as there was already 5 regular driver too many that they didnt need him,he was signed up for his shift[gauranteed 10 hrs],see him another day and he said rang agency straight away and they sent him in too nobbys,said he got 10 hrs from stobarts and x amount from nobbys,ive heard aof this happening more than once,not sure of late with paycuts etc,but if a agency driver used to turn up at our depot and nothing to do they got 10 hrs[not sure if 10 hrs is specific to one agency,or all],but know lads on for one and there defo on10 hrs minium
