Oh the drama… Ashley needs a wazz, will he make it on time? With minutes to spare he manages to make his delivery on time lol 

Do you think he laid his flag on the floor before going for a pee,as he seems to place it everywhere he goes!

lol spectron i drive for them woudnt say i was finest (yet) haha but if i feel the need to take a 100 attempts to get parked up right then so be it and if theres an audiance laughing so be it lol, rather park safe then cause damage, as i sometimes admittedly get nervous reversing btw lorrys still same happened to me a chepstow asda last week had a tight reverse into the parking space there!!! il get there

no damage as yet lol

Whilst watching it with a mate at his place he turned to me and went “Mick why don’t you try and get a job there, they do Class 2 drivers”

Do stobarts do class 2 driving or is it just pure class 1.

So far i am finding it boring compered to the last lot

i havent seen any class 2 stobart liveried wagons bud as yet but iv seen stobart drivers driving the tesco class 2 rigids out of goole and lichfield so you never know■■?

I thought the same but he was adamant that they do class 2. I have also noticed tesco with class 2 trucks knocking about in Peterborough

Went to peterborough this morning i was only stobbie driver in there (at the tine) pretty sure tesco use there own drivers pal,if anyone feels free to add iv only seen stobbies run stores out of goole, widnes, the odd lichfield store, and trunking chesterfield although looks like donny heading that way now, would it be worth going on there website and asking recruitment?

what did the young lad on the containors get s rollocking from the primium driver for?

I think from looking at it he cut him up slightly on the roundabout. Did you also notice how quick he was coming out of the roundabout and how he as taking them. He was taking them as you would do in a car, apexing the sods.

They might run some rigids but I’d be surprised if they took on drivers without their Class 1 given the vast majority of deliveries are done on artics. Chances are the rigids will just be used on a handful of pokey high street drops and it’ll be a case of who draws the short straw to take them out (although i’d happily take out the rigids all day long for the same money!).

ahh right i was watching while on the laptop lol… missed that bit… funny tho if u noticed when stobart jr passed he went out with anohter driver on his first run but that lad got send solo

I used to get told by various know all drivers that you had to have your lift axle down even if you only had 1 pallet on, as it a loaded trailer and taxed as a 3x3 axle and with the axle up you’re running it as 2x3, so VOSA will do you for the extra VED.

I went to court over that and WON

I had my DAF 6x2 taxed 3+3 and was doing a mate a favour by picking a trailer up. It was only a tandem tilt that he had bought to put another axle on.

I didnt say anything at the roadside, just accepted the penalty notice and eventual summons. When I went to court I took the DVLA license costs with me, the magistrates chucked it out.

The only thing in the trailer was the replacement third axle

You could pull 3+3 or 3+2 if it was empty. I even had a trailer with two lifting axles and got stopped for the same reason

I saw that 7.5t knocking about that was in the last series, you know, the 1 the driving assessor / trainer was struggling to blind side in London? It was on the A556 the other day. I’d agree with rob though, unlikely they’d touch a C driver who would then be restricted to rigid’s.

Back to the show, imho that new kid is going to be ok, but he ■■■■ it when he thought he was going to get stopped next to that other truck, the other truck was infront and managed to stop for the lights, so he obviously jumped the lights. He seemed confident with the skelly and the dock procedure though, so hats off to him there. But seemed a bit nervous about something called pressure ■■ never heard of it myself

+1. He needs to chill a bit, he’s a noobie though and we all had something to prove when we started, and all felt we were being watched, judged and rated all the time, few miles under your belt and you don’t give a ■■■■

The horsebox driver, flicking through the monitors watching the horses whilst driving, hmm that seems really safe to me :open_mouth:

I did think that, i also thought it was out of order that he was put in that position having the camera crew watching every movement he made, whilst worrying about not crashing the truck, getting to the delivery points and many other things that was running through his mind.

Hats off to him though he took it all on the chin

I noticed that :exclamation: although the other two lanes were empty at the time !

Herongate:
The guy doing the Tesco store delivery with his 44ft long trailer… looked more like a rear steer Urban to me…■■

If he thought that delivery was tight, he should try a few drops for Co-Op in the South West & Wales - he wouldn’t stand a chance…!

I would like to see some of these super stobbie drivers to some of my drops in an 18t axor with down here in rural pembrokeshire, some places are just a bridal path where you widen the gap as you go , would make great tv …

Sorry I don’t normally worry about spelling, but this one tickles me.
I’ve got a vision of paths used by women on their way to get married. Maybe it’s a strange Welsh custom.

Either that or you do delivery to Altars, now that’s some driving.

Oops, sorry, bridle path, there’s been a lot of wedding talk here lately …
