worked for them on the agency awhile ago 15hrs and money ok…

Can’t answer any of the questions but a few months ago I heard of their drivers pulling double deckers out of Tesco/Widnes so maybe expect some store delivery work?

So, what’s really wrong with store delivery work?
Is that you have to wait hours to be unloaded, or what is it that so many people do like it, or even hate it.
I’ve never done this type of work so I curious.
If it’s waiting time, then I would like this type of job, sitting in your cab , using internet and being paid for it.

hi i have worked for Tesco and asda ,i found the asda stuff ok because they were all large stores with back door delivery ,now the Tesco ,that was a nightmare for me not having a lot of experience sent into Liverpool city center with an artic to do front door delivery of cages was bad enough ,but then you get three temp zones . and you have to take out some of the cages and leave them on the street in the rain while you get to the one frozen cage thats at the back of the box ,then they give you a load of waste to put on ,i only lasted a few month’s couldn’t hack it ,but some of the other stobart drivers thought it was great :frowning:

Don’t know much about Appleton depot but has anyone seen the amount of job vacancies at stobart at the minute, all over country aswell must be busy

You’d rather be sat outside some tesco store on a sat/ sun night staring at the yard gate for 5 hrs( they won’t tip you until booking time) rather than out with mrs, mates, friends :exclamation: :exclamation: :exclamation: :exclamation: :open_mouth: :open_mouth: .
There’s more to life than sitting on your ass, being paid for it,and the internet.
I can assure you the novelty soon wears off
Then you get inside as he’s no room, last back door blokes left it in a mess,so he tells you too go and wait in cab, hour later you start
If you can stick 6 hrs of your life wasted sat around at tesco good luck too you,me I just feel suicidal about it,I just want to go home, get changed,go out and enjoy what little of Saturday night I’ve get .

+1, they seem to be consolidating loads, pain in necktrying to get to frozen ,had to pull out nearly 30 cages the other day to get 2 frozen out :unamused: :unamused:

ive worked out of appleton quite a bit doing agency work shifts can be any length from 8hr to 15hr and you can end up on any contract general or store delivery.
ive spent full shifts doing tesco store delivery out of widnes and even goole when ive been doing night shifts from appleton.
personally i prefer working out of widnes doing tesco stores.

So if there’s no work from Appleton you bob solo to widnes? Wouldn’t mind that, was going to apply for widnes only Appleton is closer to home

Nothing really, I quite enjoy it. Easy money and plenty of scope for a skive.

This is where it’s a bit chalk and cheese. All the mulitdrop/small stores are done on days. I work nights, full loads (now and again get a split load) to the big extra stores, either scissor lift or dock. Easy work.
