Is this the best channel 5 can do for tv Friday night with this returning for another series.
Ashley/Mark etc glorifying in the idea of been celebrities and getting their two minutes of fame.
The programme giving the free advertising glamourising the idea that working at stobbarts is a great life minus the reality of the low pay pressure long hours etc and the turn over of staff culture which lies within when the authenticity is a great embarrassement to those of us that know what does really go on.
Sadly the programme promotes something to the public which is completey in many cases so different to reality.
The way everything’s always a rush to beat the clock reminds of that programme that used to be on Crystal Maze. I half expect a camp bald bloke to stick his head out of the curtains to the bunk and start playing the harmonica.

stobarts our answer to ice road truckers, stobart’s up there own backsides, look how windy it is on the severn bridge they really have to fight to hold that steering wheel straight, if they employed decent drivers would’nt be a problem
SteveBarnsleytrucker:
wonder if the series after this one will show clippins from the court case? They may call it Eddie Stobarts Trucks Trailers and Prisoner Cell Block H
funny you should mention Prison cell block H,it returns to TV here in Australia Wednesday called Wentworth on Soho channel so will be in UK soon enough rippers!
Atleast it shows our job in a good light. The fact that theres actually been quite a few series now means that the general public obviously have an interest in what goes on in the industry and this in turn will gain us support from them.

out isn’t watched by the public. The main audience is truck drivers who avidly watch it, then go on internet forums to discuss it. The program is scripted by muppets, yet the forum discussions seem to centre round the fact it is real life. As yet I haven’t delivered a Christmas tree to any ex boy band member.
I’m forever delivering Christmas trinkets to z list celebrities.
Or I might be delivering plywood to slightly dodgy builders merchants.
Either way I doubt it would make great viewing,
