this isn’t the same as the hair brained scheme that was advertised in the depots…which has gone awfully quiet!
it may not be,but according to all the know it alls on here, nobody can make money working for someone these days, this chap doesnt seem to be doing bad[if rates were that bad hed have a old erf/foden],isnt there another one with a new actross as well
I have seen Scania F1 Pirelli Greyblack H3866 11 reg parked solo for overnight in clackets two nights ago. Looked nice.
AB Volvo did not sell Magnums here so I haven’t seen any Swedish registered one and I think this model will disappear. It should be interesting know how many Renault sells of this model but on ting I know it is Volvo and Scania sells a lot more. We have a lot of timber Lorries and 24-meters Lorries but no of them is a Magnum. The only as drive in Sweden and use Renault Magnum is drivers from the Baltic States and other places in Europe and they use 2 and 3 axle trailers
Now I come to think about the Swedish demolition tests of the cab. This huge cab with its large windshield will not pass the test or perhaps it should but I think AB Volvo and Renault have a gentlemen agreement to not sell each others heavy duty lorries in their countries but I’m not sure. Volvos Lorries seem been overall on the world yet. Magnums as is registered in another country than Sweden can drive here free even if the cabin not is accepted. The only as is similar with other Lorries is if they are overloaded or in a badly condition. The Police can get to weight them and stop them and control them in another tie-up.
But Stobarts lorry seems fine.
Have a good season.

Nobby Dingledangle operate many Magnums and Renaults in general although they are the grotty plain red. Alongside the N12 near Dreux in France there is a transport company, Transportes Delaunay, who operate mainly Magnums here, orange, silver black and white, and at the weekend you can see them all lined up together in the yard just below the main road and it looks really good. All absolutely identical. This is a good area for fleets as a bit further north is Transports Vallee who have a combination of marques and again, alongside the main road they are all lined up according to their marque, all Merc together, all Renaults together, etc
It’s going on to biomass work when there is enough work for it. For now it’s running on tesco out of Goole for a subbie.
Stobarts used to own three of them a few years ago, this one is not theirs it belongs to a sub contractor.
