Jon1975:
Saw something I have not seen around before a Stobart liveried Cement mixer on the A5 at Tamworth this evening, Is this another line of Business they are going into??

stobart drivers king’s of the road

i think it means ■■■■’s of the road

buf:
yes he did shade 2 trips a night from southam to gloucester and he didnt hang about then either

That’s why Rugby Cement got told off for speeding and why they have the 40 signs on their tankers…

MO(Topgun):

To remind us how great he is that he wastes so much time cleaning his truck, and yelling at people in the lorry park to move 'cos he’s out of time :unamused:

Was probably a mixer on a demountable skid, used to have two of them, used to put on road rail trailers to keep concrete fresh on way up track to rail jobs.

yep shade…i use to be one of the Rugby Cement boys, loved that job the same as i do Stobarts, never worried me what other drivers were doing, but always there if they needed a hand eg!..roping and sheeting, tipping the tankers if they wanted a coffee break,if they broke down you stop with them and never leave them on there own,now adays you can see from the comments on here, that type of friendship as gone, drivers are more concerned with what everybody else is doing and wishing they come un stuck rather than getting off there arse and lending a hand when you see a driver stuck, yep proud to have been a Rugby Cement driver and proud to be a Stobart driver,Rugby Cemnt was where you learnt to keep your lorry clean

Its self raising Flour for Tescos

it’s not a cement mixer, it’s a giant hamster ball for the gimp, and the ■■■■■■ to run around in.

Hi, MO (Topgun )
Just been reading the comments on the Stobart Cement topic. Are you one of the ex Rugby night drivers used to work out of Southam, Not possibly the one I used to know as Spike are you ?My last sightings of Spike was that he was with Stobarts out of Crick. With Rugby he used to do bag swops at Ferriby. I was on nights at Ferriby for many years good job good workmates ,pity it finished. If you are the one i,m thinking of with the old ■■■■-a-doodle on the CB put an answer on the thread for the Bassman

Hey mo, will you be signing autographs at stobart fest

Mo you reap what you sow, if you all go on the telly to tell the world how great you all are you are going to get knocked by plenty, some would say calling you self Topgun is also some what aragant. Whilst alot watched the programe it was to have a good laugh. Put youself on a pedalstool and the rest will knock you off it doesn’t mean that those who knock you off will not help out others in a pickle, hell I’d even give you my parking space if you only had a minute to spare.

I really wish that some posters would grow up on this site and stop being so childish :unamused:

Bitchy and snide comments are what happens in the playground at primary school not on on an adult professional driving forum

I work for Stobart and have done for over 3 years and still as proud today as the first day. It doesn’t matter who I work for because I’ll always be proud of the company I work for - I am an Ambassador for the company and will always do the job to the best of my ability!!

Business is business and Stobart, DHL, Wincanton, and Nobby Dressingtable will do what they can to get it :imp:

We all drive trucks for the same thing and that is money! Stobart in my area are paying the best so I’ll drive for them. No one can match them for wages, vehicles, job security, pension, vehicle, trailers etc etc…need I go on :unamused:

Slag off DHL for a bit cus they are far bigger :stuck_out_tongue:

Being out all week doesn’t interest me, nor do nights. Then again there are plenty who think it below themselves to do my job.

i think there efforts are more into getting the divisions they have at the moment running more efficiently that buying/starting new ventures, thats what i see anyway

yea too many running around empty and waitin around for trailers to come in ie the other night i sat in stoke for best part of 3 hrs waiting for my delivery to come in as i was told there was nothing else for me instead im pretty sure it cant be that hard to work out driver bringing load up is 3 hrs away and driver collecting it is 40 mins away so instead of him sat here all this time earning no money we can give him a drag in from somewhere etc
or like last night got sent to pick a load up turned out it was not due b picked up till 7am the following morning so wasting 40 mins to sort another load to pick up planning can be a nightmare and stressful i wouldn want the job but things like this cost money at the end of the day by the way ady 1 were u based
