Does anybody know if they do tramping from there? On the website it only says day/night shifts available… I’m sure they ran for tesco’s out of goole??

I didn’t think they did myself but my mate said he has applied for a tramping job out of Goole.
They have some of the trampers wagons parked up there but expect your motor to be used by agency when you’re having your weekly rest.
I’m lucky, if I’m off the owner drives my wagon

I don’t know about tramping out of there ,but they were asking there drivers a few months ago if they’d do nights out ,I was stood at desk when they were being asked

That’s alright if you know in advance its to be used so can take your kit out ,but the truck I was given Saturday was obviously a trampers truck as it still had all his belongings in it ,t.v ,sat nav ,cooler box ,kettle ,clothes etc etc ,I queried this with t.o but they just said to be careful which I was ( 2x pckts of crisps legt on table were tempting though ) ,but I’m sure he didn’t know it was being used as there was some money’s worth of kit in it ,being sent out again when I returned .
In this case I don’t think it’s fair on the tramper ,and also unfair on the driver/ drivers expected to use it as if anything got broke / went missing the finger of suspicion would be on them ,I didn’t feel comfortable at all

Trampers for big firms like Stobarts should really have more sense than to leave personal & expensive items in “their motor” on their days off. They are living a pipe dream if they think it’s always going to be parked up all weekend making no money, especially with the Tesco contract lingering about. I sure as hell wouldn’t leave my gear in a wagon I knew realistically could go out on a run.
I’ve driven trampers wagons before and have even had to eject their card from the tacho head

I disagree , I don’t believe that any haulier in the UK is short of drivers to deliver their goods, shelves are stacked & nobody is going without:!:

No but I do go into Goole on a regular basis ( today being one ) ,I was in my new truck with my beacons ,blind spot cammeera with bloke shouting something like ,beware this truck is turning left etc .
You’d of thought it would of had a Anderson lead as well but when I got to shop on checking the side locker there wasn’t one 
cowbell only ,then 10 mins getting my ear bent by boss for not checking there was one and checking tail- lift worked before I left ,God he is a bloody know - it - all at times

I could have sworn that the Tail Lift comes into the trailer pre-use check list… Maybe in line for a bollocking later? Quite hard to test a tail lift without power
