just wandering if there are any drivers on the site who have gone for this
stobartgroup.co.uk/careers/d … e-partner/
i’ve been curious about this as well. it appears to be a cheap way to get set up. but does it pay much more than being an employee■■?
Just to put a negative view on it. It gives them complete control of a exclusive dedicated subbie, without that subbie being able to work anywhere else when, as and if the work falls off.
You’ll be busy when they’re busy and parked up earning nothing when they are not, as they’ll be feeding their own fleet first and you’ll only get the jobs they themselves can’t make a profit at or cover.
If memory serves there was a big post about this last year , nobody’s owned up to being a franchisee yet as far as I know , probably too bizi counting all the profit made , happy days !
Its been discussed on this thread and many others;Stobart Franchisee - THE UK PROFESSIONAL DRIVERS FORUM (INTERACTIVE) - Trucknet UK
would be worth knowing the rates
Look at the bottom of the blurb page ,I knew about Stobart estates etc , but Stobart barristers ■■? !!! Be afraid, be very afraid.

I’d have the agreement read by a solicitor before you sign up if I were you. In my opinion it’ll be geared up so all you make is your costs plus a low wage. They’re not going to give you anything.

Apparently “fast eddie” has started his own legal practice so the punters who are daft enough to become a “mug franchisee” can have their “cast iron” contracts checked over in house by the “fast eddie” legal eagles so the punter can be assured that the T’s & C’s are 100% in favour of the “fast one” at no extra charge to the Punter,of course !! Bewick.
So has anyone taken up on this? Anyone? I need to know lol

If they have, I imagine it is probably a condition of the contract that they can’t discuss it on the internet.

And if if that is true, I can not think for the life of me why they would specify that

Hmm maybe… So my next question is, please can someone PM me if they have taken up the Stobart franchise.

The first rule of Mug’s Club is - you don’t talk about Mug’s Club
The original secret advert said it was to kick off in August 2011, then they advertised it in the Sun, and it now looks like even Sun readers are not that stupid
I have a copy of the original, it offered many things, except profit…

Out of interest are you considering it?..Seriously?
The original “Deal” was offered to trampers who were employed for £5000! As far as I’m aware no one I know took up the offer! Not too long after that many trampers were made redundant around the country and about that time the Sun ad appeared for £12000 start up! Make of that what you will!
