Have heard today that staff at alcester and corby have been told that there depots are set to close , things are a changing in the stobart empire again (where is pete osborne when you need him )
Also according to this months T&D Stobart is laying off 60 trampers at the Stoke depot.
Reasons being given along with all the other depot closures are,“New systems and planning technology”,yes I believe that also!

tesco was today in BBC News
Xmas not gone well.I did know.
They didnt send out that much as other Years,as they expected not that much left in Stores after xmas for sale in january and started a own “For sale” Line.Customer didn’t agree,and so People went to other Retailers.
Now,there was a change of Head and as much as i know is the present Boss the one which run tesco USA with Red Numbers over the Years.
Now’s he running Tesco UK in red numbers

If I dared to say something similar to this post ther’ed be uproar from the spotters,Elves,sycophants and Mo !!! How come you have gotten away with it “bubsy06” you masochist !!!While “fast eddie” is currently trying to improve the image by claiming that some 'orrible competitor is offering to work at a lower rate (difficult to believe I know) but I wonder if they (whoever they are) are offering improved service levels to “the fast one” as this must surely be the only area that can be improved upon as surely no other “logistics supplier” can,or would be suicidal enough, to work at rates below what the “fast one” quotes !! And if some of the antics I read about on the site that “fast eddie’s” mob are now getting up to, another “supplier” won’t have to try so hard to offer the client a vast improvement,at the same,quite probably,suicidal price!! I am just bored at fishing through stobart threads to find ‘normal’ threads, how come DHL, Wicanskis and dogstuckinadressingtable dont have 14 threads a day started?

Well if ESL are hitting hard times, Tough the caused plenty of hard times some years ago when they started to plunder other hauliers work and caused hard times for a lot of people, so I wonder what they feel like now. Regards Larry.
the strange thing is with esl i remember them taking over a contract i worked on some years ago and they told their new customer that they didnt use trampers but could deliver anywhere in the country next day .
So have they tried to work the system they are now changing to before and if so why did they move away from it ■■

busby,all theyre doing is opening ONE SUPER depot[just in case you missed that SUPER,SUPER,SUPER]depot and closing 2 small ones,if theyd just closed the 2 you would have a point,but they havent there consolidating the 2 into 1 SUPER depot[hope that helps

Thats the way Ady1,keep these(i hope stobarts go bust fans) in the true picture,a new super chilled depot is opening to cover the Corby and Alcester closing depots,cant expand at either of those and they are rented depots so time for Stobarts to bin um,yep stoke want 35 trampers back owing to work already getting busy and also the chilled side as just started doing Arla milk so mr Bewick and others you will have to wait a lot longer before you see Eddie trip over,oh and i almost forgot…Southend airport made £800.000 profit this year and with the olympics they are on course to make £8 million profit at Southend this year and next…Oh dear,its not looking good for your supporters mr Bewick but i think your alright,when we having a cuppa together,im looking foward to that…■■…love ya

yea also talking to lad at morr shop,said contract was up too xmas,but theyve renewed it as very happy with job were doing,now if i could just get some hours in the job would be all hunky -doory 
,dont think bewick +mates will be back to be honest,thought the end was nigh,but thoughts of our super depot have really taken the wind out of there sails,THE SILENCE IS DEAFENING ,see you round brother mo
