hi. i’ve passed my test in august and been struggling for a bit to find someone to take me on.
since then, i’ve probably done about 2 months class 1 work, mainly trunking for hermes or arrow subbies.
started thinking of going stobart for a bit so i can get some experience on me. seen them advertising for widnes container work, says wages £450 - £600 take home pay per week dependant on shift - are these wages possible ?
i’m not asking for much, anything above £500 take home would be fine for me. anyone here working for them ? they also have an advert running out of birchwood
Worked for them before out of Appleton, the container work was alright (as a new driver too). It is only £9 per hour an then £15 a day meal allowance. I used to have to do anywhere near 55 -60 hours a week as a day man for taking £500 home.
Go for it though to get your experience up that’s why I used them

Think it’s advertised as nights, which is actually what I’m after at the moment.
