Stobart sold automotive to BCA

Stobart sold their car trsnsporter division to British Car Auction this week for an undisclosed dum. Couldn’t make any money on it. Didn’t BCA get burned last time around when they tried this?

Might Explain why the new rigs are plain white…

Blimey, their foray into the car transporter world lasted all of five minutes then

They lasted slightly longer than TNT did on the cars, anyone else remember their doomed attempt with the transporters ?

That’s what happens when you cut the rates to the bone, whilst forgetting you have a vehicle you can’t backload :unamused:

They have only sold the uk side keeping the European side

Bca (we buy any car owner), also has new owners, having recently been bought out by an investment company.

On a serious note, we do a lot of work out of Ford at Dagenham, and speaking to their blokes down there, it’s roughly £50 a car to get from the factory to the dealers, taking into account 1 load days, 2 load days, van loads etc. That covers the truck, fuel and driver. How little were they charging to not make money?
