No, but when I first loaded there I asked a couple of other drivers who were loading for advice. I listened.
A couple of months ago a JR driver asked me for help. Not a problem. Explained that he would be best strapping to the chassis, not the side rave. 5 minutes later he was doing it his way, showing his pal the way to do it like he was an old hand. Oh well way to go. What do I know? I’m not one of the best.

I see your point, It’s like any company out there tho, the bigger they get the more numpty’s you get. Sending new/young drivers to chirk, its a disaster waiting to happen too.
You see numpty’s everywhere working for every company out there. Before I passed my test I had the greatest respect for any Hgv driver,
Now I realise they are not all superstars! Lol

Nobody told me, I see an ambitious and hungry company expanding in all sorts of areas.

Spot on mate,3 dip recession and we still get a pay rise ,certainly wouldn’t be giving out pay rises if we were struggling,dark and dim start to the year,but the sun has certainly come out for us now ,

Have you made it to £8p/h yet?
I’d far rather have my pay rises on my meal allowance,that way it’s tax free pay rise,it’s a loop hole were exploiting very well,have you got up to £15 a day meal allowance yet :

Why do people keep banging on about allowences on this site.
It’s an allowance not pay you can wink wink and lol all you want but it’s still only an allowance.
They can be removed by the company or frozen what will you do if HMRC gets their fingers on them.
Don’t you think at somepoint they are going to look at these things given the current climate with Google etc.
I assume that when you take holiday you don’t get these allowances?
Do you wink wink and lol lol when the basic wage comes through?
I don’t get a £15 a day allowence for food but then again my wage is decent and I don’t have to park on industrial estates or eat cheap to keep my pay packet artificially high.
From what I see on that T.V. programme and my dealings with Stobart drivers they all want to park overnight on Stobart depots and eat in their canteen.
So you get the food allowance and hand it back to them via the canteen or truckstop.

I prefer Tesco canteens, where I can have a nice meal @ £1.50-2.50.
