I realy dont understand it we all know its not realistic its a lightharted show which is probaly one of the only positive advertisments hgv driving gets shown in to the public.
Is trawlermen or the dealiest cathch realistic. I have no idea im not or dont know any deep sea fisherman.
As someone else said what do you want to sit and watch the driver eat his lunch and read the paper for 45 minutes.
trawlermen was realistic enough but knowing a few of the boat crew members that featured on the show they said that there were parts that were exaggerated for the audience appeal

I can’t imagine the dealership letting him have a break where he had parked and then unload the cars. If he was planning on having a break before unloading he surely would have stopped before 4hrs 29 mins
Yeh I can just imagine your average sales rat wanting rid of a camera crew
and following onlookers.

I really enjoyed trawlermen wish they would do some more
I assume none of you where there at the filming or have seen the tachograph records. So really its all speculation, which seems to be fed by a sad hatred of Stobarts high public profile or is it jealousy? Perhaps some of you really want to be the stars of a trucking docu-soap.
These Stobart program’s have been going for some time now, so most of you must know the format, in these days of freeview, Sky, bt etc you do have more than 3 channels to chose from. So if it annoys you so much watch something else, or go to the pub, or take up ballroom dancing, but whatever just avoid watching it.

It makes me laugh how they have to park (sorry, manouver inch by inch precariously between the kerb on either side of the road) right on the doorstep,of the delivery point. How long before they realise they’re delivering cars and they could park 40ft away and drive the rest of the way.
I imagine he probably thinks he would rather avoid 40ft of unnecessary driving on a public road, given any damage to those Range Rovers and the buck stops with him. Not cheap cars. Sooner they’re on the forecourt and the dealerships responsibility the better.
Hmm. Strictly speaking, he’s driving untaxed, unregistered, uninsured (?) vehicles on a public road - I would have thought that strictly he should be unloading on the dealer’s premises. So the closer the better?
