I was watching the bbc tv free channel today and a report on Click mentioned this app to trace all the fleet so you know where they are, lists the reg numbers and names of the trucks, the reporter said it was not cheap.
For security reasons, i would not want some criminal tracing my high and vulnerable loads all over the UK.
The iPhone version is £2.99 Toby !
It a bargain for spotters like you I’m not sure about the security implications of it !
A robber could sit around loading places and wait till you have parked up, using his app.Would not take a rocket scientist to work out what is being hauled when you pull out of Dixons or Know How, or drinks depots and so on, i will have to save up for the £2.99 or wait for the next pay rise.!

I think you’ll find in stobart trucks there’s a PANIC button,if you try and rob the load the driver will push the PANIC button, which will alert the planners your in trouble who will then alert the cops, which will lead to you or your mates being dragged off much to the amusement of the driver

if it works
Panic button not much good if he’s thumped round the back of the head while taking a ■■■■!
Stobarts would probably give you a bollocking for using the panic button.
I had a old boy, probably called Reginald, come upto me in layby while I had my breakfast one morning. He was all excited, and most likely stiff, because he had tracked me down the A49. It was a short conversation which resulted in me spitting most of my crunchy nut cornflakes at him.

Not all stobart drivers are shrinking violets,if you want a tear up bring it on

I accidentally caught it one day, they weren’t the slightest bit bothered I had accidentally pushed it but just concerned I was o.k,but like most firms they’ll always be concerned about there best drivers ,as for yor average run of the mill driver, yea,I guess you would get a bollocking

if it works
Now your clutching at straws,it’s always been part of my daily check, confirm with my planner it works, imagine the bedlam that would ensue if we lost a tesco fresh load through the panic button not working,it really is not worth thinking about.if your going to do a job do it properlyit’s just a pity 99% of your average run of the mill driver don’t seem capable of following the most basic of instructions
and then carry them out,
Panick button yeah rite ! even if there was how long does it take for the police to turn a wheel ? driver could be bound and gagged and left in a layby in seconds, instead of the app just get the Stobart truckin cd … whens the Stobart after shave coming out ? you cant fault them realy…money from merchandise is big bucks and they know it is.

Is the panic button for when your make up needs sorting for the TV cameras?

I would say that the trucks are not fitted with a panic button but the driver is given a some form of ■■■■ alarm where they can talk to a control centre whilst being ■■■■■■■■ assaulted by a spotter. On a proper note that’s what I think they have got. I think they have this device that you can have in your pocket or around your neck. One press of the button it goes through to a control centre where you then tell them what’s going on and they do the rest.
Thats more like it mate…even so gangs today dont worry about little things like that, your double-decker full of electricals will be gone…as i said before plod puts his tea down and ambled across to his noddy car…driver is out on his arse gagged and bound, goods or part of is gone.

Hmmm, not much point having a Panic button for you then, if you can’t spot the bright red button you probably wouldn’t notice someone nicking your load.
There has been one in every single Stobart truck I have driven and some Ben have the word panic written on them for the hard of thinking.
The fact that you base your belief on the understanding “your mate” would have mentioned it had there been one makes me think an evening in the pub with you two must be a real wheeze.
Why on Earth would anyone want to trace the entire Sobbart fleet ?
Even more stupid … why would anyone pay 2.99 to do it ?

Someone who is ■■■■■■ and on drugs
I have lots of apps on my droid thingy but I have never paid a cent for any one of them.
I never pay for any music on my phone either, I just get the tunes I want on my lap top then transfer them to the phone.
