I drove bulkers/push outs/tippers for a few years carrying Grain in the tippers & waste in the push outs & never managed to turn one over !
Oh ! Let me think !-----I didn’t drive them like a ■■■■ !
Apologies if it was ‘mechanical’ but these only go over if your Hooning it round a roundabout or bend.
I nearly lost a walking floor a couple of months ago, after a spring snapped resulting in a ‘flappy’ axle on a corner when fully loaded with wood, heard the bang, looked in my mirror and saw the wheels were off the deck, luckily I was cutting the corner due to the road being quiet which meant I had room to recover.
If I’d gone over, would it have ever been discovered or would it just be that I was driving like a ■■■■?? Because I can tell you, if the road was busy and I hadn’t cut the corner then my recovery would’ve been hampered by a dry stone wall.

I did apologise if it was ‘Mechanical’
But you know as well as I do, you’ve got to take care on roundabouts & bends.
.
The company I worked for back in the 90s, had 2 go over in the space of 6 months, 1 was on a roundabout in MK & the other was on J13 M1 on his way to Brogborough Landfill, he reckoned that he was doing 40 mph as he came off the slip road & it just ‘Went Over’, he went on to kill someone in a van on Millbrook Bends.
Both Roll Overs were down to Excessive Speed & Class One ‘■■■■■’.
I have pictures of another type of artic that rolled it on that roundabout…It used to be my route to and from work.
I would say it is nigh on impossible to roll a motor over on that roundabout unless you were being careless or a mechanical fault occurred
.
He is a Professional Driver and a Driver CPC holder.
Therefore it is highly unlikely that a Professional would enter the roundabout with
excessive speed, clip the kerb and overturn.
It was definately a mechanical defect, (maybe the steering wheel came off in his hands)
or maybe he swerved to avoid a snow plough that was reversing around the roundabout.

Tipper Tom:
It’s harsh to say that this Roll Over was caused by driver error or “■■■■ factor”.
You know next to nothing about this incident yet you judge.
I can see that its an Artic, loaded with Compost that’s gone over on a roundabout-
IMO, 2 Reasons a wagon rolls over on a roundabout-
1, If all the wheels blow out or fall off (very unlikely) & its loaded top/one side heavy or massively overloaded (still need to be shifting a bit !)
2, Being driven by a ■■■■ too fast, fly boy, on job n finish or chasing bonus. (Guilty as Charged !) (Next case please )
Or he’s driving round the roundabout and someone pulls out, he tightens his turn to avoid them and oh no tat couldn’t possibly happen could it? HGV driver has to be wrong cos he’s not as good as you.

I love all these excuses, if you do the appropriate speed on a roundabout, it wouldn’t matter when someone cuts you up.
It’s about predicting what could & probably will happen, taking another 5 seconds around a roundabout isn’t really going to make that much difference to your finishing time or bonus !
Is it ?
We’ve had numerous roll overs in & around Milton Keynes because of the ‘6 million’ roundabouts & 99.9% of them are due to the ■■■■ Factor with people racing around trying to get finished earlier & earlier.
