Still going strong

Just been looking at some of the pics on Toprun of trucks in Cyprus and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
Some old companies no longer trading and some still trading are represented by the pics, like the J.D.Fairweather F16 Globey pulling the Post Office trailer. An FH 12 from Matthews, another from Rokold and one from Hicks from South Wales.

Even some of the trucks & trailers that are no longer signwritten you can recognise just by the colours.

Last in Cyprus about 2002 saw lots of Elldis old Ivecos still in their colours

Keith, i used to drive an ex Fairweathers F16, first motor i went abroad in, cant find any of the pics i took thou, think the reg was something like E120 SVG. When my boss bought it i had to clear the last blokes maps and cooker and kettle etc out. He seemed to do a lot of Italy judging by the maps. Apparently when they closed down(?) the origional driver bought it and started up on his own, the truck was a 4x2 when he got it, but he added a tag axle onto it. Went well the old bus did, E reg and exempt from those speed limiter things
I will have to have a look at the Toprun site tomorrow, now off down the pub for a beer or 10
