One of our lot has put “FODEN” stickers on their rear lights. You can still see some of the light but is reduced. Surely this is illegal? Another driver just asked if he’d have grounds to refuse to drive said vehicle if told to■■?

Peel them off and bin them, lights are quite useful

Yes putting Foden stickers on anything is illegal (or should be)
i tell you lot what, how on hell any of you have jobs beats me, i will have to get so toilet paper out to wipe your arse’s, it one thing after another, this ain’t right that can’t be right, i can’t drive that because i don’t like this or that. i have seen loads of trucks with the name stuck on the rear lights, we have one on our firm, they have been on there for 3+ yrs it has never failed a test yet so in my eyes it can’t be a problem or it would of been picked up years ago

What purpose does it serve? How does anyone following benefit from it? A bit like drivers using the spare reg plate bracket to put a plate on with “Daf 360” or whatever. I suppose it pleases those who lock up their side windows with those bird dropping smear stickers with Daf/Scania on etc…

I also think it looks ■■■■ but the question was is it legal? I know this forum tends to only discuss ■■■■ like pigeons, who’s had ■■■ at work and spam posts about being on tacky tv pilot shows but you occasionally get lorry related stuff. Or is that just on the Old Time Forum?

if it was illegal then the one we have would not of pasted its test for the past 3 yrs
as far as i know it serves no purpose but each to their own, i don’t have it on mine, if someone had put it on a truck i had to drive it wouldn’t worry me, i certainly wouldn’t just go ripping it off and throwing it in the bin.
what i was driving at there seems to be so many people on here that have to worry about everything. instead of getting on and doing the job they have to find fault in every truck they are given to drive, it will come to point where they won’t drive one if they don’t like the colour. if anyone from the general public was to read a lot of the posts they would think we are a load of moaning idiots, who shouldn’t be let loose with a push bike let alone a 44 tonne truck
