STGO Weight limits

Good Evening All, and Happy New Year. A quick question for anyone familiar with the Abnormal Load Movement/STGO rules; where can I find out weight limits for bridges which are not posted on the structure itself? The local authorities and police forces in this case have been unable to give me the information. Any info apprreciated, thanks guys

The Esdal website has lists but not sure how much you can see without being registered.

Surely if you are into STGO weight then you would need to submit a movement order? The decision is then taken out of their hands as the local authority(ies) will give you the route they want you to take which will avoid any weak roads/structures. When I did STGO3 it involved a lot of driving down slip roads, across the junction, and back up the other side, to avoid the fly-overs. Highly annoying but them’s the rules.

Thanks for the information guys. ESDAL don’t actually hold the information I need, they just liaise with the appropriate authorities en route who are privy to that. It may be better to discuss by private message if anyone can oblige? Many thanks to all

So are you looking generally or a specific location?

What weight are you pulling? Obviously the M4 will be at least 44 t so if it’s above that then you’ll need a movement order and that is their job to check the weights of all the roads and bridges and route you accordingly. Why are you getting involved in this?
