When you refer to TAC, at Erith I assume you mean Turners Asbestos Cement Ltd, I used to load out of their off a London Firm Cables Montague Ltd, they allways had loads for the North East mainley Hawthorn Leslies at T V T A Gateshead for their preffab buildings, this was the 50/60s era, Regards Larry.
i worked for cameron/molyneux for many years wot a brilliant company and a great bunch of lads many of whom are sadly no longer with us.good money good moters and one heck of a crack.Known as the 501 squadron back in the early am cb days every day was a blast they had at the end over a 100 moters starting at the begining with guy big js erf atki volvo 86 88s 240s/290s spanish dodges sed atkis.Work was asbestos pipes ,roofing ect from tac depots countrywide, containers ,whisky ,paper in fact you name it they moved it. The lad stood in front of the tac 86 if i remember rightly is steve he worked with his dad and brother shunting in erith .They also had a ford with a v8 ■■■■■■■ and a couple more 86s some veh were painted in tac colours some in the red and white of cameron/molyneux some yellow and some green. Many happy memories of working with a great bunch of men at a firm the likes of which wont be seen again.
