Steve Wright show

Mal:

Dan a.k.a Boo:
Wogan■■? What a load of tosh!!! Him and that Sarah Kennedy get right up my nose!! Sorry guys, but you can’t beat a bit of ‘Wrighty’ in the afternoon. I have been in tears with laughter driving down the motorway some days.
Still, anything anything beats that Radio 1 Dogs Do. :unamused:

Dan.

Ahh I see you must be a Tig Dan! wait a while, you’ll see the light!

Mal

That’s TYG (Terry’s young gits) :stuck_out_tongue:

So that’s where i’m going wrong. It sounds like I need a dose of Wogan to set my day up!!

I’m not usually up for Wogan’s show, so I can’t comment. But I know I can’t stand Jeremy Vine, to much talk and not enough music for my liking.

Usually catch the end of Steve Wright on the way to work, and then drive time. After that it depends on the radio in the truck. One only picks up Vibe, BBC Bristol or GWR.

If you want some comedy after 2200, listen to late night love. How can anyone take it seriously??

I’ll tell you a radio station that all you guy’s and gals will love but you have to live in N.Ireland to get it!!! Every weekday between 1.30pm + 3.00pm theres Uncle Shoooooooogo (Hugo Duncan, country singer) in the afternoon on Radio Ulster  .All the local truckers,Agri contractors,Digger men all TXT him day and daily to wind up their other work buddies about truck horsepower, getting the tractor stuck, holding up the traffic at the roadworks etc. Most days the “craic” is mighty and he plays the odd tune or two as well

Big Truck I think Ill pass, Im sure the craic is great but not my cup of tea mate!!

PS You still with Montys??

Kev

Sorry, can’t agree with views on Alex Lester, when I was working nights he and Janice Long kept me sane and awake. Then six o’clock turn over for the today prog and back to Wogan at half seven. Just as well that there are so many radio stations, cos we ain’t all the same.

Glad to see that there are other Archers fans out there - my aim in life is to be parked up by 7pm with a brew and a rollie, what more can one ask for? Apart from a lottery win for Joe Grundy.

Kev,
Still flat out with Monty’s and Woodsides, even that Driver Hire are never off the phone either!!!
Must say I don’t care much for Uncle Shooogo’s taste in music but alot of the boys who TXT him I know quite well.Sitting at roadworks outside Sion Mills yesterday doing a run for “Monty’s” to Ballybofey in Donegal,Along comes the “wee man from Strabane” in his flashy Shogun doing his usual commute to Belfast for his radio show (Madman!!!) I saw him looking at the Renault truck and then he sees my John Deere boiler suit (Keeps the Suzi grease off the clothes) I gives him a thumbs up and a blast of the horn,Hugo stops and shouts “Nothing runs like a Deere” he laughs and drives off.I had to laugh but it made my day!!!

Luke44:
I hope you started the letter “Dear Steve, love the show, keep up the good work, always listen between 2 and 5, every afternoon, never miss it, it’s the biggest show on the radio, did I mention that I love the show”.

otherwise the boy who has the perfect face for radio won’t read it out.
