Caught up with these boys & girls on Saturday. Apologies for making the thread picture heavy, but these guys deserve some credit for their time & effort
After waiting for 1 hour and fifteen minutes for them (Should have come down for some brekkie), I nearly gave up and in true sods law met them going the other way, so a quick turn around and the convoy was infiltrated The transcon sounded awesome as it pulled away from a set of lights.
Managed to get in front of the convoys to get some shots
Nice photos but I’m disappointed to see that the organisers didn’t stick to the ‘25 year’ rule. There looked to be a lot of modern stuff in there.
I went with a friends wagon a couple of years ago and nearly didn’t get in, even though we entered well in advance.
Brilliant photos wardg! They really put my efforts to shame.
Totally agree that Graham, Chris & the team deserve a lot of credit for the brilliant weekend that they organised. I picked them up at the Evesham tea stop & followed them on to Gaydon. Not only was our weekend great fun, several thousand pounds were collected & raised for ‘Help the Heroes’ - big respect due!
So here we go, apologies for the dodgy ones!.. These were at the A46 / A435 roundabout just before Alcester:
These were taken beside the A429, just before the M40 Junction:
Arriving at Gaydon:
This last one shows our accomodation for the weekend…

The ‘Steel Boys’ had a totally separate agreement with the show organisers. Technically they were not in the show but had their own separate area outside the pay to get in area. They were organised by Graham Bellman and his group, who limited the run to 50. This came about because many of the motors on the run would have been rejected on age. Thanks must go to Graham and his helpers for putting the run and display together.
