Steamy Windows

Every morning when I wake up in my cab the windows are absolutely dripping with condensation, to the point tissue/rags wont do anything I have to use window blade, any advice on preventing this?

Simple question no smart answers required lol

try leaving a window slightly open ?, ie if the wind is blowing at the drivers side open the passenger side a little .

Somewhere along the line you have got lots of water in your cab or you could have a leaking window seal.
The water is evaporated as the cab heats up and as it cools down again turns from vapour to droplets.
Best thing to do is keep the sunroof slightly open so the water vapour can evaporate out of the cab totally.
Also, keep your windows clean and you’ll find they demist so much more quickly.

This only happens to me when the night heater isn’t running

Set your night heater to come on about an hour before you get up it can help!!

That’s because your night heater is turning the water droplets to water vapour.

cant talk about my truck as never had a problem.however, had that problem with my campervan and a bowl of cheap table salt placed centrally on the floor cured it.
also got a mate on the boxes who swears by the moisture sacks they put in containers which contain electrical goods etc.

If your truck has aircon, switch it on when demisting. Also run it during the day with the air on recirculate

Go to local pet shop supplier and buy Silica Gel cat litter, fill up some old socks tie them up and leave them in the cab. I used to have same problem in my car and some rooms in my house, since doing this never had problem with condensation.
It does work!!

stop talking in your sleep. the conversation wont then stick to the glass

Yeah - if his night heater isn’t running then the water stays in droplet form. If his heater is running the droplets turn to vapour which doesn’t mist the windows.

This, its hard this time of year with crap weather, allways got wet boots, clothes and gloves ,check your hot water bottle isnt leaking thru the night  dont worry pal summer will soon be here and we can moan about sweating our nads off all night

your heater matrix may be leaking just enough to not evaporate once the engines not running, there would be a slight smell though,or your whatever you call that filter for particle stuff might be blocked/torn,box of rice, tipped into a couple of old socks…same job as silica gel/kittylitter. or stop drinking 10 cans of lager before peeing the bed when your sleeping…

I get this in my campervan. bought a karcher window vac, others are available.

Does the job perfectly, just empty the contents outside.
