Staying in a job you dispise

Why is it that what ever the thread’s about eventually it come down to two ■■■■■■■■ rowing

Driver’s always moan, fact of life! We had blokes who would complain about the load they had even if they chose it themselves, glasses were always half empty instead of half full, but they stayed in the job for teens of years all the same. Part of the problems are that jobs change, companies sell out and fresh faces come in and, in most cases, the job slowly gets worse. It might still appear to be a cracking job to other folk, but to the people involved it suddenly becomes a ‘bad one’ and the complaining begins.

Pete.

Welcome to the TruckNet.

Everyone moans about their job, if you don’t people think there’s something wrong with you, anyway, its much better to have a job you dislike, makes going home all the more enjoyable :grimacing:

Funny thing is anywhere and in any industury you ask the loudmouth moaner how long he has worked there its often 15 or 20 years.

Brits are very good moaners , its not healthy

look on the bright side, ive learnt that it definitely will bring you good fortune

Have you tried walking away from a job that you no longer love that pays up to, and over, a grand a week?

Yep, walked away from agency in London in ‘good old days’ to go back tramping, with a pay cut of hundreds a week. Best thing i ever did.

It’s just a forum thing, I think. I’ve only been on a few but on all of them arguments have always broken out and over the silliest of things!!

Ah and now you’re making assumptions about my life. Its not always been like this. As it happens I was in a relationship back then, paying rent on a house, renting a room in London and up to my eyeballs in debt. Just so you know…

Ha! I did work for Sainsburys a lot as it happens. But that was a good while before Bertie turned up, on the run from the Danish police and looking for a place to hide. Hiding in plain view as it were.

Fair enough not casting assumptions on your private life or anything.

Its ok. I just believe very strongly that misery is a lot more damaging to your health than lack of money. And if I’ve learnt one this this year its that you need to spend as much of your life as you can being happy. Because one day your life will be snatched from you. Be it tomorrow or in 40 years. And come that day its your memories that matter, not your bank balance.

Very true no point been the richest person in the cemetry.
